The Sacramento Ballet is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and is seeing in the start of its new season and the Halloween weekend with an entrancing production of Dracula, which is sure to leave you under its thrall. British choreographer Michael Pink created the piece in 1996, with the intention of staying as true to Bram Stroker's 1897 as he possibly could. What's it about?
English solicitor Jonathan Harker receives an invitation to Transylvania from Count Dracula, who wishes to purchase to property in London. It soon becomes apparent that Harker has bitten off more than he can chew as the creatures of the night descend and wreak havoc on the world.
