BLOWN AWAY

Last night concert was one of the best. Bush was amazing and loved when Gavin came through the crowd. I do think they were better than Breaking Benjamin. BB did have a top notch stage show. Then AIC hit the stage opening with Again and knocked if out of the park. Every song they did was a hit and sounded spot on. Nice to hear Jerry wish the late Laine Staley a happy birthday. This was definitely one of the best concerts I have seen in my life. On a side note, parking was awful. Why are there not people directing traffic out?

BREAKING BENJAMIN BRINGS DOWN THE HOUSE

Dos Equis is always an interning venue. Parking is awful, but sitting on the lawn hearing great music is the trade-off. Bush was solid, as usual. Consistent and sounded good. Rossdale can still bring it after all these decades. Breaking Benjamin should have been the headliner. They were incredible. Vocals were clear and harmonies crisp. Their encore and connection to the audience was prescient. Truly great experience. The disappoint came when Alice In Chains forgot lyrics to “Grind” and repeated the chorus 6 times to cover it (dropped half of second verse and repeated the first verse twice). The vocals were atrocious (unable to hear most songs) and many times the guitars over-amped to ear grinding pain. They dropped lyrics to “Nutshell” and “Heaven Beside you” (how do you do this?). We left with 1/3 of the audience before the encore. Simply a horrible showing from AIC.
